The Sun is now in Gate 64, CONFUSION, In the I-Ching this hexagram is called BEFORE COMPLETION. 

This energy has a direct connection to the the super consciousness. Huge concepts arrive out of nowhere and are, at least at first, impossible to fully understand or explain to others. There is a huge sense of inspiration but the thought is unformed because it is BEFORE COMPLETION.

Here is where faith comes in. Faith that over time our subconscious will slowly work whatever it is out. Faith that when the time is right all will become clear if it is meant to be clear. It is about relaxing and allowing the sense of it all to take form organically. Because the harder someone with this energy tries to make sense of it, the more CONFUSED they will become. 

There is a lot in the Human Design Chart that teaches us to wait; whether it be for an invitation, clarity, or an external sign. Waiting goes against how many of us were raised but the universe is set up to guide us along our path if, and that's a big if, we allow ourselves to trust it. If we can relax and allow it to happen, the correct people and situations will be magnetically drawn to us and we will have the ability to know they represent the right path. 

Listen to me. As much as I prefer to keep these messages simple and understandable, I am unable to resist delving into the larger concepts whether I can explain them clearly or not. Not so simple when CONFUSION reigns.

What is not simple is gaining the patience and having the faith to trust that our path will be revealed to us. That's not simple at all. 

The energy of CONFUSION is designed to teach us how to relax and to allow the huge concepts to become clear over time. There is no room for impatience here. Allow yourself to be CONFUSED and let your mind wander. You might never be able to explain it to anyone else. That may or may not be the point.

So what does CONFUSION mean to you? Are you easily CONFUSED? Are you impatient with yourself if you don’t have clarity or certainty? Why? Do you enjoy CONFUSION? Does it drive you nuts when the people in your life cannot explain themselves to you? Why? Do you allow your mind to wander? Why not? Do people get frustrated with you when you are spacing out? Is it OK to allow yourself the creative process of waiting for clarity?

The sun has now moved into Gate 40, LONELINESS. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called DELIVERANCE. 

This is the energy of LONELINESS in all its permutations. Someone with this energy defined certainly needs their alone time. It is quite necessary for their well being and also necessary for their unique process of DELIVERING results. 

But they also may feel very LONELY in general which in many cases drives them to reach out to others. This need to connect and resulting efforts to do so never quite shake the sense of LONELINESS however. So this energy may find themselves focusing on the lack of connection rather than the actual connection, often feeling the most LONELY with the people they love. No matter how much attention and love they get, they will feel ALONE. 

It is easy to blame others for this feeling. The reasoning being "If this person really did care about me I wouldn't feel so ALONE." Awareness is key. If you have this energy and are aware that this is simply who you are and not the direct result of someone else's behavior you can better appreciate the people in your life who really do in fact love you.

So If you are celebrating your birthday this week, give this some thought. It is OK to feel LONELY. It is a fundamental part of who you are. In your ALONENESS you are able to process and DELIVER amazing results in this world. Other people cannot make you feel any different for any length of time and it is not their fault. But DO continue to reach out and connect with them. This is also a fundamental part of who you are.

It is in the seeking that transformation happens for all parties involved.

The Sun has now moved to Gate 59, SEXUALITY or INTIMACY. In the I-Ching, this hexagram is called DISPERSION.

This energy is all about connection. SEXUALITY is for sure at play here but I see it more as seeking connection. This energy wants to penetrate the auras around it, to truly experience INTIMACY. It is grasping towards the solar plexus, seeking creative INTIMACY.

This can play out as seeking physical, SEXUAL connection but can also include the desire for deep, connected friendship. This energy is not particularly comfortable with surface, shallow relationships. It craves a true, intimate bond.    

What exactly does INTIMACY mean to you? What about SEXUALITY? Do you find it difficult to connect INTIMATELY with others? Or are you someone who prefers to connect with people on a deeper level? Are you uncomfortable when someone penetrates your space, even with your explicit consent? Does it depend on the person? How does your SEXUALITY play out in your life?

Today the Sun has moved into Gate 29, PERSEVERANCE or COMMITMENT. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called THE ABYSMAL. 

This is the energy for fully COMMITTING and sticking to things for better or worse. The full channel (meaning this gate and the opposite gate defined) is often described as "succeeding where others fail." This is simply due to straight up PERSEVERANCE. People with this energy don't give up, or not.

As with all energies it goes both ways but PERSEVERANCE is the theme regardless. The rebellious sort may refuse to COMMIT to anything because deep down they know it will be very difficult to walk away.

The other side of this coin is over COMMITTING. Gate 29 is sometimes lovingly called "the gate of YES." It has a hard time saying no to people. Once folks catch on to this personality trait in someone with this definition, they will tend to take advantage. If unchecked, a person with this energy could over COMMIT themselves into poor health.

But COMMITMENT and PERSEVERANCE are wonderful qualities. This is also considered to be one of the marriage gates. You can see why. The true expression of this energy is not afraid to COMMIT.

So I invite you to take this opportunity to meditate on how exactly COMMITMENT and PERSEVERANCE play out in your life. Do you avoid COMMITMENT? Why? The Sun has now moved into Gate 4, ANSWERS or MENTAL SOLUTIONS. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called YOUTHFUL FOLLY.

This is the energy for having the ANSWER, whether it is accurate or not. Depending on whether the AJNA is undefined or defined it can also be pressure to be certain of that ANSWER.

Thinking about the ANSWERS to the universe and searching for the ANSWERS is a wonderful thing; a truly admirable pursuit.

But critical thinking is imperative. Fake news is an excellent example of an ANSWER for ANSWER'S sake. But if you decide to call something fake news does that simple act make it inaccurate? If the news in question is actually, upon further investigation accurate but is repeatedly called fake, does it even qualify as news anymore? If something blatantly false is repeatedly referred to as the ANSWER does the repeating of it in fact make it news?

What is your relationship to ANSWERS? Do you have all the ANSWERS? When a subject comes up during conversation are you quick to jump in with the ANSWER? Are you sure you have the right ANSWER? Should you maybe look into things a little bit more before chiming in? Do people look to you for the ANSWERS? Do you hate it when someone is a know it all? Do you have trouble trusting yourself when you have the ANSWER? Why?

Perception is key. My ANSWER may be different from your ANSWER. But what in fact is the truth?

The Sun has now moved into Gate 7, SELF-IN INTERACTION or LEADERSHIP SUPPORT. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called THE ARMY. 

The energy of Gate 7 is all about supporting democratic LEADERSHIP. It can get itself into trouble if this energy attempts to take the LEAD itself. It's understandable really because this energy instinctively knows what it takes to be a LEADER but energetically it is simply a non starter. Put this energy behind a true LEADER however and watch them as a team take over the world!

In a true democracy LEADERSHIP absolutely needs support to be effective. Without that support, without its ARMY, it is utterly powerless. What a wonderful gift to be the fuel for excellent LEADERSHIP. To intuitively know and recognize the soul of a true leader and have the tools in your toolbox to help them succeed.  

I invite you to consider your role in this exchange. Are your democratic LEADERS flourishing or floundering? What if you stepped in to help and SUPPORT them? Do they deserve that SUPPORT? Are you a democratic LEADER in need of SUPPORT? How can you effectively hone yourself and your message so that people recognize your potential and join your ARMY?

The sun has now moved into Gate 33, PRIVACY. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called RETREAT. 

PRIVACY is the energy for holding on to the stories of the past and sharing them when the timing is right. This is the energy of the HISTORIAN.

Now some people with this energy defined may hold on to their own past in an unhealthy way. Repeating the same story over an over, making it their identity and holding on to resentments. But the lesson here is forgiveness; understanding the story is sacred and true and then letting it go when the timing is right.  

This can also be a lonely energy, for RETREAT is necessary at times to truly process the story and understand when it needs to be shared. It is an energy that is focused not only on its own story, but also the sacred stories of others that need to be shared for the lesson contained for us all.

 The HISTORIAN recognizes that the past is the key to understanding the present.

What are you holding on to that has already taught you the lesson to be learned? Is it possible to let it go now? If you have not processed the lesson, what can you do to fully address your story and forgive? Does it need to be shared to be released? Or is it possibly now time to stop rehashing it and reliving it? 

Our stories are what make us human. We all have one, two, or three of our own. But who would we be without our experience thus far? Is this wisdom not a blessing?

What is it that we need to know from that past that will inform and enrich the present? What is happening now that will need to be remembered tomorrow?

The Sun has now moved into Gate 31, DEMOCRACY or DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called INFLUENCE.

This is the energy for DEMOCRATIC leadership. DEMOCRATIC leadership can be a bit tricky. Because someone with this energy defined knows they are a leader. But they will get themselves into trouble if they decide to start leading without being chosen first. Meaning, this leader needs to be called out and elected into leadership. If not, people will resent this energy for taking over and telling them what to do. 

But if someone with this energy waits to be elected, they will receive very strong support. This is the energy for approaching leadership as a service. It is here to lead others in the manner that serves them and serves their interests. The key here is to INFLUENCE what people want and then deliver it the way they want it.  

Are you a natural leader? Do people turn to you for guidance and direction? What happens when you take a leadership role? Do you experience rejection? Do you experience support? Why? The Sun has now moved into Gate 56, THE STORYTELLER. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called THE WANDERER. 

This is the energy for STORYTELLING. Someone with this energy defined in a prominent position in their chart loves to hear themselves talk and if they are not paying attention to how receptive their audience is, they may come off as a bit of a bore. But the thing is they are actually really talented at spinning a fantastic yarn. In fact they are wonderfully gifted teachers and can be great writers as well (but the telling of the STORY is what they love the most). 

The trick is to make sure the audience is receptive. For example, a teacher has a built in audience that is there specifically to hear their STORIES. Who doesn't love a teacher that tells an engrossing STORY. It is the best way to learn. On the other hand the wife who has listened to her Gate 56 husband tell their friends with same STORY a thousand times might want to pull her hair out. 

Again, this is what we call projected energy in Human Design. Which simply means it is energy that will be served best by waiting for an invitation. So if you're dying to tell that favorite STORY which applies just perfectly in the current situation, stop and ask your audience if they would like to hear it. Chances are they will say "sure," and be a much more receptive, appreciative crowd. It’s just that simple.

The Sun has now moved into Gate 62, DETAILS or PLANNING. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called PREPONDERANCE OF THE SMALL.

This is the energy for DETAILS. People who have this energy defined tend to be highly DETAILED and very organized, or not. If someone with this energy defined in a prominent position in their chart were to say to me "I'm not detailed or organized at all, my house is a mess!" I would say, "yeah, but you know where everything is right?" Because aware of it or not, they do take in every DETAIL. Which in some ways can be low key overwhelming.

The low expression of this energy might entail being overly anxious and overwhelmed with the self inflicted responsibility for all the DETAILS. Or it can be expressed in a very nit-picky way that is somewhat overbearing about its insistence for precision.

But the gift of this energy, the goal really, is a high level of impeccable precision; a true eye for the DETAILS.

There is also an element here of PLANNING every DETAIL to alleviate any sense of there being no PLAN. How much of this can be trusted to fate? Is it possible to simply have faith that things are naturally going along according to a higher consciousness PLAN with or without your intervention?

Are you good with the DETAILS? Are you more of a big picture person? Is it better to let someone else deal with the DETAILS? Is that bad? Does it make you anxious when every DETAIL of your PLAN does not go accordingly? If things do not go according to your plan is this fate simply stepping in to course correct? Do you feel overwhelmed by the feeling of being responsible for all the DETAILS because other people are just not capable? Is that true? How does your eye for DETAIL enhance your life? Do people appreciate your gift? Why not? Have you been overlooking anything or anyone in your life? Is it possible for you to put self-judgment aside and give it or them some well deserved attention now?

Did Erika Girardi Know? - A Human Design Perspective

One of my guilty pleasures is watching Bravo reality shows. They are the soaps of this generation. I find myself as I watch guessing each cast member’s Human Design Type and marveling at their bad behavior. Of course, these women are being paid to express themselves on a low frequency so I really can’t blame them. The best (and worst) cast members lack the ability to self reflect and go through their lives in a wounded, reactionary state. Others, are clearly too self aware to be good reality television. These are the cast members that frankly do not last. Unless, of course, they come up with some other way of entertaining the audience.

Erika Girardi has been on another level. She has always been overly protective of her image (probably in fear of having a negative impact on her husband’s reputation) to the point where she seemed cold and unfeeling rather than reactive and emotional. She was smart enough to know that her inability to be an ‘open book' meant she had to deliver as a cast member in a different way. So her strategy has clearly been to present an entertaining, over the top depiction of wealth and glamour. If you can’t deliver the drama of an 80’s soap opera, deliver Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. An equally popular pop culture obsession in the 80’s.

Little did she know that by putting her considerable wealth on display, she was incriminating herself and her husband.

Now, I acknowledge that I am in the minority when I say I think she was clueless about the nefarious, criminal behavior of her husband. But after looking at both of their charts, this is my hot take; I don’t think she knew.

Of course there is no way for me to know for sure what went on behind closed doors between Erika and Tom Girardi. Is it possible I’m wrong? Of course. But I can look at both of their charts individually and in relation to each other and make certain observations. From what I can see, I would be very shocked to find out Erika knowingly spent any victim’s settlement money on herself. I just don’t see that as being in line with her chart even at its lowest expression.

The Human Design chart is a new way to look at astrological definition through the lens of the I-Ching, the Chakra system, The Kabbalah Tree of Life, and quantum physics. It is an amazingly comprehensive look into a person’s personality along with how they energetically interact with others.

According to Erika’s chart she is highly principled and if someone she cares about crosses a line, she will without a second thought cut them off. This is simultaneously the energy for marriage and divorce. Someone with this energy is very committed to their partner until they are not.

She also has the energy for integrity and doing the right thing even when it is not what everyone else is doing. Meaning she is not one for caving to social pressure.

With her Mars definition, she is very attracted to ambitious men with high principles. I think it is safe to say that when they met, Tom Girardi presented as an ambitious, successful lawyer who fought big business for the little guy. So she was of course very attracted to him despite the age difference. She was clearly very proud of him and what he had accomplished during his career.

Human Design charts aside, she was very young when they met and got married. They had a May/December romance compounded with an electromagnetic connection in their composite chart which created a theme of providing and receiving support in the relationship. The fact that her definition reflected providing support and his definition reflected receiving support may have created a tendency for Tom to over compensate since he was in the traditional role of the older, wealthy partner. 20 years later, Tom would of course continue to be in the habit of protecting Erika and withholding details about money problems. He was in charge. He supported her financially and she furthered his image of a highly successful man with a gorgeous young wife on his arm. They had their roles to play.

Tom has the classic definition for sales in his chart which often has the tendency to do whatever it takes to close the deal, even if it means playing fast and loose with the truth. This energy will do anything to win, especially with the additional definition in his chart which makes him deeply competitive.

Tom also has the potential for blaming others for his bad behavior or when things go wrong. This expression of self love can lead to the inability to find any fault with himself, only others. So it would be very easy for him to convince himself he wasn’t doing anything wrong.

I can imagine his unwillingness to share his situation with Erika would result in him continuing to shower her with money and moving heaven and earth (along with client trust funds) to make that happen, simply to save face; to preserve her image of him.

They also as a couple have a challenging electromagnetic theme in their composite chart nicknamed The Verbal Gunslinger. They have the intuitive ability to say exactly what the other needs to hear to feel better. That’s the high expression. The low expression is having the innate knowledge of what to say to each other that will be the most cutting and hurt the most. Unchecked, this dynamic can be very painful.

With the energy of Revolution defined in Erika’s chart by the North Node and Mars, I think she found out what was going on with Tom and did not think twice about walking away from everything and divorcing him. Finding out that he was behaving in a way that crossed the line of her principles would result in a very quick, decisive revolt.

I have no way of knowing when she found out, but according to her chart she is also highly logical and focused. So once the decision was made, she would have been inclined to be very methodical in how she coordinated her move. Which is in line with how she described waiting for him to leave for work and quietly moving her belongings out without his knowledge.

In the end, I don’t believe Erika would have been stupid enough to flaunt her husband’s wealth if she had any idea how he was getting the money. He was so caught up in his lies and in protecting her image of him, he wouldn’t tell her to stop flaunting his wealth on national television.

And this is what may have ultimately led to his demise.

STARTING THINGS - The Sun in Gate 53. #HUMANDESIGN #TRANSITS #ASTROLOGY #ICHING

The sun has now moved into Gate 53, STARTING THINGS, NEW BEGINNINGS, or THE STARTER. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called DEVELOPMENT. 

This is the energy for STARTING THINGS but not necessarily finishing them. It stems from the pulse energy of adrenaline. 

Now a lot of people really struggle to START things so someone with this energy is very valuable to have around. In fact it is a perfect example of how the puzzle of humanity is meant to work together. A partnership between two people who each have the energy to START THINGS or the energy to FINISH THINGS is a beautiful thing is it not? 

Now a word about that adrenaline pulse. Sometimes it is off. So if you have this energy defined understand that every once in a while the energy will simply not be there. This is a great time to listen to your body and take a break. The pulse will inevitably return, so enjoy the rest. Because soon enough you'll be off and running with STARTING THINGS again.

Truth be told, someone with this energy defined may find themselves with unfinished projects sitting all over the house. Because the fun here of course lies within the excitement of STARTING something. Please know this is OK and natural for this definition. Throw in a third line profile with the need for experimentation to this mix and there will be a trail of unfinished projects throughout this person’s life. Sometimes the entire point is the initial experience.  

But can you see how delightful this energy can be? Pay attention to the people in your life who have birthdays during this transit. They are really handy to have around when you find yourself simply unable to get a project off the ground. Invite them to collaborate with you in the initial stages with the understanding they will most likely not stick around to see it through. But that's not the point is it? They have contributed their gift.  

Alternatively, if you have this energy defined, recognize this gift for what it is and find a way to utilize it in a way that makes you and everyone else happy. You may not be the perfect Project Manager but you would certainly be dazzling at facilitating new accounts.

The sun has now moved into Gate 39, PROVOCATION or RECALIBRATION. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called OBSTRUCTION. 

This is a very PROVOCATIVE energy which energetically makes people feel poked and prodded. It is a catalyst for stirring up emotions and sometimes this is exactly what we need. There is an impulse here to PROVOKE people into being authentic.

Ultimately, this energy is meant to be the PROVOCATION for emotional and spiritual growth.  

People with this energy may find themselves baffled by the reaction they get from others just by going about their day. Or not, because they certainly have their moments where they enjoy poking the bear. OR they may actually feel irrationally PROVOKED by other people. Because all energies do go both ways.

Many people with this energy are highly creative and musically gifted, PROVOKING emotional responses in various creative ways. Frida Kahlo was defined by the sun in Gate 39 and I think it is safe to say that she PROVOKED a response in this world.

Let us not forget that PROVOCATIVE energy can also be sexy and flirty. Think Jessica Rabbit and the multitude of double takes she garnered from her costars. Fun right? She PROVOKED a response just by walking into a room.

As with all gates, there is the low expression of PROVOCATION as well. This can manifest as a fear of lack, whether that lack be materialistic or about the fundamental things we need to sustain ourselves. The personal journey of this aspect of PROVOCATION is to find peace in the knowledge that the universe will provide whatever we need; to learn to trust in abundance that isn't forced.

Do you find yourself easily PROVOKED into anger or hurt feelings by the behavior or words of others? Do you unnecessarily poke and prod the people in your life and take pleasure in their discomfort? Or is it pleasure in their opportunity for growth? Is it possible to consider those moments when you are irrationally hurt or angry as opportunities to jump start your own personal growth? This is the energy to stop, be STILL, and take the time to see the proverbial forest for the trees. The lower expression of this energy of course can also mean sitting around doing nothing. I have heard Gate 52 lovingly referred to as the couch potato gate. Of course there is a difference between lying on the couch and distracting yourself with television versus being still enough to allow an awareness of what is.

There is a unique opportunity for wisdom with this energy.

So I invite you to stop, look around, and take it all in. What is the bigger picture? Does Twitter really need your hot take on any subject before you have had a chance to gain PERSPECTIVE? Are you someone who can stop and take stock of a situation or do you act immediately? Is it your habit to continually put out fires or do you consistently plan five steps ahead? Do you meditate? Why? Why not? Is that OK? Are you typically an observer or in the thick of it? Are you always physically moving? Do you find it difficult to get moving? Are you paralyzed; unable to act? Why?

This is a great time to be STILL and take the time necessary to fully take stock of your life. A quiet vacation away from the hustle and bustle would be ideal. In what ways are you truly blessed? What are your particular challenges? In the long run, what is serving you and your loved ones and what is not?

Of course in Human Design we do not encourage over thinking. To be clear, this energy is not about mental gymnastics. It is about developing an awareness based on the gift of STILLNESS.

The Sun has now moved into Gate 15, EXTREMES, LOVE OF HUMANITY, or COMPASSION. In the I-Ching, this hexagram is called MODESTY. 

This is the energy for EXTREMES in rhythms and patterns. It can be quite the challenge for someone with this energy defined to stick to a rigid schedule. In many ways this has to do with an innate connection to what is going on with nature, there is no denying that pull regardless of what is on the agenda for the day. So it is less a refusal to stick with a schedule and more of an awareness of the true correct timing of nature.

For example, someone with this definition might drive their partner nuts by having to do this or that last minute before leaving their house for a party. But then when they arrive, they might find out the party had been delayed for some reason and that they are in fact arriving at the optimal time. This is an example of the seemingly erratic, yet divine timing of Gate 15.

Also people with this energy defined have very large auras. No matter how low key someone with this energy tries to be, people immediately notice them when they walk into the room. As a result many folks with this energy defined try to shrink themselves to no avail. Hence the hexagram, MODESTY. 

I have also heard this energy called the vortex. It is very easy to get caught up in the energy of someone with Gate 15, truly through no fault of their own. Whether that energy is expressing the high or low version of this energy it can be difficult not to get sucked in. At its best, I would like to think this vortex has the capacity for pulling people in to help HUMANITY.

Because in the end this is the energy for the LOVE OF HUMANITY. Love for all who reside here on this planet. For better or worse. Without awareness one can lose track of their own well being when there is so much love for HUMANITY.  

Do you struggle to keep a fixed schedule? Is that bad? Is it possible to see this as a gift rather than a fault? Does it make you feel less safe if the people around you are incapable of sticking to a pattern? Why? Is it possible to allow yourself to go with their flow every once in a while and allow divine timing to happen?

I invite you to also reflect on your feelings towards HUMANITY. It is so easy to focus on the bad examples of what is happening in the world today but how can we have more faith in HUMANITY as a whole? Do you generally love HUMANITY or do you hold suspicion in your heart? How can you open your heart to be a force of love in this world?

Are you someone who habitually puts others before yourself to a fault? What can you do to establish healthier boundaries? How can you show compassion and love to HUMANITY without losing yourself in the process?

These are strange times. But I keep coming back in my mind to the the role we each play in the puzzle of humanity. We each have an integral part to play. All we can do is strive to be the highest expression of ourselves we can manage and try be kind to the people around us. 

Small acts of kindness matter. They have to.

The sun has now moved into Gate 12, CAUTION, ROMANTIC, or THE CHANNEL. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called STANDSTILL. 

With the right timing, this is the energy of the creative, romantic wordsmith who has the potential to speak straight from source, or not. Because if the timing is wrong, this wonderful energy also has the potential to say the wrong thing and truly cause havoc. Hence the keynote CAUTION. One must be in the mood and in the flow to tap into their greatness. Either way, there is certainly an impact to be had whether it be positive or negative. But when it is positive, it is truly sublime. Joyce Carol Oates has this energy defined by the Sun at the time of her birth. 

When someone with this energy gets into enough trouble enough times however by blurting things out in the wrong way, they may find themselves at a STANDSTILL. Unable to gather the courage to put themselves out there again. But if they can develop the ability to recognize when they are in the right flow and when the energy around them is ready to receive that flow, they will be astounded by their own brilliance. Patience and awareness is key. 

Do you have a history of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time? How did the reaction of others make you feel? CAUTIOUS? How can you be more aware of the people around you and how they may react to what you are inspired to say in the moment? On the other hand, how frustrating is it when you are called to express yourself when you are not at all in the right mood to flow?  

These things cannot be forced. Writer's block is a sign of wrong timing. Don't force it. Respect your natural creative flow both when it is there and when it is not there. Right timing is indeed connected to source.

Trust that, and you will be amazed by what flows out of you as a gift for us all. 

The KING or QUEEN - The Sun in Gate 45 - #HUMANDESIGN #ASTROLOGY #TRANSITS #ICHING

Charles II King of England, Scotland, and Ireland, defined by the Sun in Gate 45.

The Sun has now moved into Gate 45, THE KING OR QUEEN, TRIBAL LEADER, or DISTRIBUTION. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called GATHERING TOGETHER.

This is the natural leader but it is not necessarily the democratic leader, that is elsewhere in the chart. So this is the energy of someone who is in charge and not selected or appointed to that role, they just are. When you think of the archetype of the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, think of Gate 45. This is the tribal energy for leadership. There is a bit of entitlement to this energy no doubt and it can go the way of dictatorship if its not careful but the highest expression is the benevolent energy for taking care of its people.

Two KINGS, one Czar, and one Emperor have Gate 45 defined by the Sun at the time of their birth. One Pope and one Cult Leader also have this definition. President George HW Bush has this definition as well. David Rockefeller also had Gate 45 defined by the sun in his chart. No less than 12 QUEENS, Princes, Princesses, Dukes, and Duchesses had this particular definition.   

Our current President in the United States has Gate 45.5 defined by the North Node. Which means this energy is prominent and projected on to him in the later half of his life. You don't say. 

How does the theme of the KING/QUEEN/CEO play out in your life? Are you a natural leader? If not, is that a bad thing? In what way do you support the leaders in your life? How have the leaders in your life treated you? Do you express what you need to your leaders? Do you hold them to a standard and let them know when you don't agree with them? 

If you are a natural leader, how can you be more thoughtful in how you deal with your subjects? That last bit was a joke but really, do you take your leadership position for granted? Do you have a tendency to spend too much money because you feel entitled to it? How can you be more aware of the needs of those around you? How can you also make sure you have the support you need to thoughtfully lead in a manner that is beneficial to all?

Let us hope our current leaders are asking themselves just that. If they are not, let us hold them to a higher standard.

The Sun has now moved into Gate 35, CHANGE, APTITUDE, or EXPERIENCE. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called PROGRESS. 

This is the a very capable energy based in experience. It has been there, done that. So much so, the energy can easily go to a place of boredom or a lack of enthusiasm. An interesting and possibly logical transition from the energy of ENTHUSIASM prior to this transit. 

The person with this energy really can handle any challenge that comes their way. Over time and with enough experience, a natural confidence in their own capability is the result. This comes from gathering experiences. CHANGE is to be expected for someone with this energy defined. Or not. 

This energy can also play out as a deep reluctance to experience boredom. So those experiences can become more and more extreme as a result. But fighting boredom is not really the point. Sure this energy craves CHANGE but It is truly about the wisdom one derives from a lifetime of experiences. It is about approaching life as an adventure and embracing CHANGE, not scrambling for the next new thing just to avoid boredom. 

How do you generally handle CHANGE in your life? Does it freak you out? Does it give you a spark of excitement? Do you actually create CHANGE to avoid boredom? Why? Is it possible to consider that you have the capacity to handle anything that comes your way? Do you believe that?  

Sometimes the only way to know for sure is to let go and allow yourself to have a new experience. You just might find out how very capable you are.   

SKILLS - The Sun in Gate 16 #HUMANDESIGN #TRANSITS #ASTROLOGY #ICHING

The sun has now moved into Gate 16, SKILLS, ENTHUSIASM, ZEST, or TALENT. In the I-Ching, this hexagram is called ENTHUSIASM. 

Some compare this energy to The Fool in Tarot and I can see why. It is a willingness to step off a cliff without having any idea how things will turn out. It's about trusting you have the natural SKILL to land on your feet. In truth, people with Gate 16 prominently defined in their chart are naturally TALENTED and can more often than not get away with simply going for it.

Natural SKILL isn’t always foolproof however. This energy has the potential to get itself into trouble through wrong timing and lack of SKILL. But this natural ENTHUSIASM is rarely dampened for long by the occasional failure. 

Are you one of those bold individuals who jump into new opportunities on a wing and a prayer? How does that work for you? When other people are cautious, do you jump right in? How do they react to that? Has your natural TALENT worked for you more often than not? Does that make you lucky or gifted? Or is the gift having faith in your abilities?

Do you every so often fall flat on your face? Is that OK? What if you were to stop, listen to your Authority and wait for right timing? Would it be so bad to take the the time to adequately prepare?

Or are you someone who is never willing to jump in and try something new because your default is a sense of inadequacy? How can you find the strength and bravery to go ahead and try it anyway? Would falling flat on your face really be that terrible after all? What's the worst that can happen? Is it possible that your tendency to prepare makes you in fact more equipped to handle something new? Are you more prepared than you think? Is it possible to have faith in yourself?

The Sun has now moved into Gate 20, METAMORPHOSIS, ANTICIPATION, THE NOW, PATIENCE, or CHARISMA. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called CONTEMPLATION.

As you can see, there are a lot of keynotes and interpretations of this energy with good reason. METAMORPHOSIS is complicated.

This is the energy for having an awareness of THE NOW. It is also the energy for doing the right thing even when other people are not. It is about integrity.

My teacher Karen Curry Parker calls METAMORPHOSIS "intuitive awareness to right action." GATE 20 is the physical expression of the Integration Circuit. Which may or may not look like what other people are doing. This is as it should be.

But METAMORPHOSIS is also the energy for intuitively recognizing the skills of others and having that special ability of bringing the right people together at the right time for the right cause.

So yes, there is a lot going on here which makes perfect sense. It is part of the Channel of CHARISMA which is a very busy channel. In the right combination this is part of the archetype of the Manifesting Generator. 

Bob Dylan and Ralph Waldo Emerson both have METAMORPHOSIS defined by the sun at the time of their birth. Can you see how they were both able to have an awareness of the beauty in this world as well as an acute awareness of where there was absence of beauty; how each were also compelled to express their innate integrity within their observations?

Do you live your life with integrity? Do you have a solid sense of what is right and what is wrong? Do you just intuitively know? Why not? How can you be more focused on right action? What is right action? If this sensibility comes easily to you, are you acting on this awareness of right action or are you just playing the observer? What can you do now to bring the right people together to act on this sense of integrity? Should you? 

Are you continually focused on the past or the future? If all we can concentrate on is the future or the past how can we be present for our loved ones now or even have an awareness of the beauty of the present? Do you live your life in THE NOW? Why not? What can you do to be more present in your life right NOW?

For those of us with this energy prominently defined in our charts, if we can just stop, take a breath, and take in the beauty of what is NOW, we have the opportunity to METAMORPHOSIS into the people of integrity that we are meant to embody in this lifetime.
